About Us

What makes PCH Treatment Center Unique?
PCH Treatment Center provides a caring, safe and therapeutically intensive place for those with psychological disorders to resolve their issues and begin the healing process. Our mental health programs are designed to empower Clients to become self-aware, self-monitoring, and able to provide for their own sense of emotional control and wholeness.

Located in Los Angeles, California, PCH Treatment Center’s reputation for success and highest quality care comes from our non-judgmental, state-of-the-art treatment modalities and evidence-backed holistic techniques. We represent a new paradigm in Intensive Psychological Treatment; one in which Clients become involved in a full clinic program staffed by licensed and board certified psychologists and physicians, while still having the option to reside in the safety and comfort of a homelike setting.

Unlike State Licensed Residential Treatment Centers where schedules are monitored, visitors are limited, medication is managed, and patients generally have very limited pass privileges (if any), at PCH Treatment Center, medication is self-managed, family members are welcome to visit, and residents are free to explore the rich cultural and recreational activities found in West Los Angeles and the Southern California region.

The rationale for our model of treatment is that it more closely replicates the “real world” to which Clients will be returning following treatment. We trust that most needing intensive psychotherapy can manage their self-care as well as maintain their own safety, and do not need the restrictions that a psychiatric hospital or State Licensed Residential Treatment center demand.

Our Mission
PCH Treatment Center was founded by a team of leading mental health care professionals whose goal remains to provide an intensive, mind-body centered treatment program specifically designed to help Clients dealing with depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, personality disorders, self-injury, psychological trauma, and other mental health issues. The success of our Clients signifies that we are meeting and exceeding our goal.

We are proud that PCH Treatment Center has become known as an affordable alternative to pricey “spa-like” residential treatment options; we frequently find that State Licensed Residential Treatment Centers have charges up to double the typical costs at PCH.

Our Treatment Team
Clients at PCH Treatment Center work with both their individual therapist and a multidisciplinary treatment team comprised of highly experienced and licensed clinical professionals, including:

  • Clinical Psychologists and Psychotherapists
  • Board-Certified Psychiatrists
  • Marriage/Family Therapists
  •  EMDR Therapists
  • Somatic Experience Therapists
  • Licensed Anger Management and Conflict Resolution Counselors
  • Acupuncturist
  • Massage Therapist
  • Yoga Instructor

Housing Options
For Clients in our Intensive Program, the GrandView Residence House is a beautiful home with residence staff available 24 hours per day. The residence house is located just two blocks from our treatment center – a short walk through a quiet residential neighborhood. We also offer other local living arrangements for Clients enrolled in the Intensive, Day or Evening Treatment Programs, including apartment units, sober living houses and nearby bed and breakfast facilities.

Medication Philosophy
We believe that effective treatment of psychiatric and psychological disorders may involve the appropriate use of medication. Our philosophy is to prescribe psychiatric medication in a judicious manner only when needed, and in the smallest amount possible to provide relief of symptoms. Our staff psychiatrists manage and frequently review Client prescriptions.

Substance Abuse and Chemical Dependency
We do not treat those whose only issue is substance abuse, but rather focus our expertise on what we know best — psychological problems (we do treat those for whom chemical dependency is concurrent to psychological issues). We will design a custom treatment plan and coordinate with a 12-step program when appropriate.

Getting Started
The admissions process begins by making contact with our intake director to discusses whether a PCH treatment program fits your loved one’s needs. If care appears appropriate, and the Client would like to proceed, an interview is conducted to obtain a preliminary psychological profile, which includes medical and medication history, family contacts, previous treatment history, psychological history, and current situation. Our process for admissions, including fees and financing, is completely transparent.

We’re here to help. If someone you love is in need of treatment for a psychological issue, we are committed to being there for you every step of the way. For Clients coming from anywhere outside the immediate Los Angeles area, we are able to help with travel arrangements. Call PCH Treatment Center for immediate assistance on our Intake line at 888-724-0040 or our office at 310-566-7625.
