Admission Process

Admission

Speak with our Intake Director

PCH Treatment Center features an experienced intake director that will help determine a Client’s psychological treatment needs. An initial discussion will determine whether a Client is appropriate for one of the PCH Treatment Programs, including the Intensive Program, Day Treatment Program or Evening Treatment Program. Administrative issues are discussed, including location, descriptions of the programs, fees and financing, and an explanation of how the admissions process works.

If the Client is appropriate for treatment at PCH Treatment Center, and the Client would like to proceed, an interview is conducted, lasting approximately one hour. During this interview we obtain a preliminary psychological profile, which includes medical and medication history, family contacts, previous treatment history, psychological history, and current situation. If a Client is not appropriate or interested in coming to PCH Treatment Center, every effort will be made by our intake director to provide resources or refer the Client to a more fitting treatment option.

Financial Arrangements

After both parties have agreed to proceed to admission, financial arrangements will be made. This involves payment by credit card, check or wire transfer. PCH Treatment Center does not accept insurance, but we do provide a superbill after discharge, so that Clients may pursue insurance reimbursement for covered charges (usually limited to individual and group therapy sessions, neurofeedback and other treatment modalities; the cost of food and lodging is not covered). Financing is also offered independently by Clark Behavioral Financing.

Travel Arrangements

PCH Treatment Center can offer guidance to the Client or their family to make travel arrangements. PCH Treatment Center offers complimentary pickup from LAX for Clients with transportation to the residence house.

Admission

Upon Admission, a Client will be assigned a primary therapist. A full psychological evaluation will be performed by a doctoral level Psychologist and a treatment plan will be formulated. Clients will be introduced and oriented and they will receive a Client Handbook and schedule. A Psychiatric evaluation is also conducted, with a thorough evaluation and modification of the Client’s current medication regimen, when appropriate.
