A Day In the Life of A PCH Client

Entering a treatment program can be scary and uncomfortable. There are so many different types of programs and levels of care that it can sometimes be difficult to know what is best for you or your loved one. Further, drastic transitions between treatment programs or levels of care can be jarring and are not conducive to long-term recovery.

PCH Treatment Center offers a tiered system of treatment, so you or your loved one can ‘step up’ to higher levels of care or ‘step down’ to lower levels of care as safely as possible. Our four levels of treatment ensure that you or your loved one transition to independent living as smoothly and healthily as possible.

To ensure you or your loved one has a relaxing, healing, and educational experience, we offer the following psychotherapeutic sessions, groups and activities:

  • Individual psychotherapy sessions each week with with a highly skilled and extensively trained psychotherapist.
    • All of our therapists are fully-licensed, master’s level clinicians, with over 15 years of experience. Most of our therapists have also completed doctoral programs.
  • Individual Somatic Experiencing or Sensorimotor psychotherapy session per week, wherein clients gain a better understanding of and ability to regulate the ways in which emotional stress and trauma are stored in the body.
  • Several group psychotherapy sessions each day with other clients struggling with similar psychological issues. Available psychotherapy groups include Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Life Skills, Trauma Timeline and many others.
  • Expressive Art groups facilitated by local artists with offerings as diverse as pottery, drawing, painting, writing, knitting, and music activities.
  • Various holistic remedies including mindfulness meditation, yoga, physical fitness, mentalization, and neurofeedback.
