What Is A Psychological Assessment?
Psychological assessment, another way to describe it is psychological testing or a psychological evaluation and it’s basically a comprehensive process that allows us to gather information in order to answer any questions that you have about your levels of functioning or making recommendations for where to go next. So we use a variety of different standardized measures in order to gather objective data compared to the normative population to understand an individual’s level of functioning. Our process also integrates clinical interviews, collateral information through consultation with other treatment providers, with family members, and anybody else that you would like to be involved in our process so we can make sure we get the best comprehensive understanding of who you are as a person.
The PCH Assessment Center
At the PCH Assessment Center we offer a variety of comprehensive evaluations. We do comprehensive neuropsychological assessment which is an evaluation of cognitive functioning in different areas of the brain and how they work.

We also assess working styles, so who we are in the workplace and applying that information as well.

And lastly our most comprehensive evaluation is the multi-disciplinary assessment which integrates a psychiatric interview along with the psychological or neuropsychological testing, so we’re able to gather some more information to be able to guide medication recommendations as integrated with our testing findings.
