Dr. Amanda Smith is an Individual and Group Therapist at PCH Treatment Center. She obtained her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University and completed her internship and post-doctoral fellowship at Wright Institute Los Angeles. Prior to joining the staff at PCH, she worked for five years as the clinical director of a local dual diagnosis residential facility. She received a Certificate in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in 2012 from the Psychoanalytic Center of California. She completed advanced coursework in Dialectical Behavior Therapy through Treatment Implementation Collaborative in 2012. She also recently completed basic training in Mentalization Based Therapy. In addition to her private practice in Santa Monica where she works with individuals and couples, she also teaches graduate psychology courses.
