Denny Pleimann is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. He received his Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, Los Angeles. Denny has nearly 2 decades of experience in residential and outpatient treatment settings. He began his career as a residential counselor at UCLA directed Summit Centers Malibu, as well as Cliffside Malibu. Denny also served as a primary clinician for the Matrix Institute, specializing his work with young adults. His advanced training includes Post Induction Therapy with Pia Mellody, Trauma Resiliency Model: Levels I & II, ACT, DBT, and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction workshops. Denny has a sophisticated knowledge of 12-Step recovery process, along with connection to spiritual and meditation strategies, providing a cutting edge approach to healing and change. Denny has been an invaluable member of the clinical team at One to One Treatment and looks forward to developing a meaningful relationship with PCH clients and staff. Denny’s clinical focus has centered on co-occurring disorders, addiction related disorders, codependency, trauma, and LGBT affirmative psychotherapy. He specializes in an evidence-based, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach to Relapse Prevention for anxiety, depression, and addiction. Denny provides a unique and practical approach to the simple science of the healing process, including focus on the Brain Model, Stages of Recovery, and related biochemistry changes.
