Dr. Boxer is a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice with over 20 years of experience. She obtained her undergraduate degree at the University of New Mexico where she graduated with honors. Dr. Boxer received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from St. John’s University in New York. Dr. Boxer had the privilege of training at prestigious training institutions such as Long Island Jewish Hospital and Albert Einstein/Bronx Psychiatric Center. She interned at The Children’s Hospital at the University of Colorado. Dr. Boxer completed a post-doctoral Fellowship at The UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute and earned an advanced degree in Psychoanalysis from the Los Angeles Institute and Society of Psychoanalytic Studies. Dr. Boxer has worked with clients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She also was the director of a residential facility for emotionally disturbed children. In addition to her private practice, Dr. Boxer is a consultant to the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health. Dr. Boxer also teaches and supervises students at UCLA and Pepperdine University.
