Jessica Hicks holds two Master’s degrees in Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute: Depth Psychology with a Somatic Studies Specialization and Counseling Psychology—as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Professional Music from Berklee College of Music. Jessica received training in EMDR Therapy and Sex Addiction Therapy. Her article detailing the intersection of unconscious trauma responses embodied in clandestine sexual praxes was published in CAMFT’s The Therapist Magazine. Jessica worked as a therapist at residential addiction treatment center Beit T’ Shuvah; as the senior producer at KidsInTheHouse.com where she interviewed renowned experts in the field of mental health; and as a weekly columnist for Mothering.com. Jessica has led community music-therapy workshops at Loyola Marymount University Extension and for prisoners and college students through the Inside-Out Prison Exchange Program at Pitzer College. Jessica is in private practice as Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in West Los Angeles.
