Kristen Biggie, LMFT
Kristen Biggie, MFT, received her master’s degree from Loyola Marymount University and trained in contemporary psychodynamic theory. Current treatment modalities also include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Stages of Change Transtheoretical Model. Kristen has worked in a variety of capacities since becoming licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in 2008. She operated a private practice in West Los Angeles, treating clients with a wide-range of mental health disorders, and as a primary care therapist in residential treatment, helping clients with substance use disorders and co-occurring psychiatric disorders. In addition to her clinical work, Kristen worked for seven years in the academic and continuing education branches of her profession. She taught seminars preparing post-graduate students for the Board of Behavioral Sciences Marriage and Family Therapist and Clinical Social Worker state exams. Kristen was a subject-matter expert in the areas of law and ethics, diagnosis, and theory. She also developed and wrote state exam preparation material and continuing education courses. Kristen is from upstate New York.
