Leslie Leitner, a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, received her Bachelors degree from Brown University and Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University. She completed post graduate training at The Wright Institute Los Angeles and The Los Angeles Institute & Society for Psychoanalytic Studies (LAISPS) earning certificates in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy from both. Leslie has additional training in EFCT (Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy), Mentalization-Based Therapy and MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction). Her clinical interests include working with individuals and families on issues involving mood and anxiety disorders, life transitions, creative blocks, personality and relationship issues, complex trauma, attachment issues, eating disorders as well as issues surrounding grief, loss, illness and death. Leslie has worked extensively with cancer patients and their families, both individually and in groups, in both private practice and at the Cancer Support Community. Leslie enjoys facilitating a variety of groups at PCH and working with families as they navigate the challenges of a family member in treatment. She maintains a private practice in Westwood where she sees individuals, couples and families.
