Leslie Leitner, a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, received her Bachelors degree from Brown University and Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University. She did post graduate training at The Wright Institute Los Angeles earning a certificate in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy. Leslie has additional training in EFCT (Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy), Mentalization-Based Therapy and MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction). Her clinical interests include working with individuals and their families on issues involving mood and anxiety disorders, personality disorders, eating disorders as well as issues surrounding grief and loss, illness and death. Leslie has worked extensively with cancer patients and their families, both individually and in groups, in both private practice and at the Cancer Support Community. Leslie has guest lectured on illness and grief counseling at California State University at Fullerton in their MFT program. Leslie currently facilitates groups and works with families at PCH. She maintains a private practice in Westwood where she sees individuals, couples and families.
