Lori Petrie, Ph.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist working in West Los Angeles. Dr. Petrie received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Loretta Heights College, and her Master of Arts and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology. Dr. Petrie has extensive experience in the field, starting from her work as an RN with acute and chronic physical, organic, and psychotic conditions. From there, Dr. Petrie worked for many years through Los Angeles County and the Department of Mental health, affording her exposure and training in understanding a great deal of human psychopathology that is often missed by private practitioners. Dr. Petrie has in-depth experience with psychotic and neurotic individuals, many of whom with complicated dual medical and psychological conditions including those with trauma, substance abuse, suicidality, homicidality, organic dementias, and psychosis. Dr. Petrie has worked with PCH Treatment since 2009 as an individual therapist, and offers her clients a deep understanding of individual dynamics and a deep respect for their individual needs and difference.
