Dr. Shapiro is a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice in Beverly Hills, California. He offers individual psychotherapy and couples or family counseling. Dr. Shapiro received his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Chicago School of Priofessional Psychology, Los Angeles. After graduation, he completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the Wright Institute Los Angeles (WILA) where he received in-depth training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
Dr. Shapiro is Assistant Professor of Applied Clinical Psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Los Angeles. He teaches doctoral students courses in all aspects of clinical theory and practice, with a primary focus on Psychodynamic Theories and Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy. Dr. Shapiro is also a Clinical Supervisor at The Maple Counseling Center.
