Thomas Simon is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a private practice in Santa Monica, California, where he sees individuals and couples, specializing in the treatment of anxiety, depression, life transition, and relationship problems. He has additional training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, a somatic approach to treating trauma and early life developmental issues. Thomas also has training in meditation and mindfulness practice through the Arica Institute. He received his Masters in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University in 2011, and interned at Airport Marina Counseling Service, a community mental health clinic in Westchester, CA. In 1968, he also interned with Fritz Perls, M.D., Ph.D. at the Gestalt Institute of Canada. Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, Thomas had a career as a documentary filmmaker, where he specialized in films for people incarcerated or recently released from prisons, to help them adjust to living in society.
