Mayra Liliana Sernas Mendez, LMFT
Adjunct Therapist and Group Therapist.

Mayra Liliana Sernas Mendez MS, LMFT, received her Master of Science in Counseling degree from California State University, Northridge. During her graduate internship at a Trauma Recovery Center, she provided assertive outreach, clinical case management, and individual and group therapy for children, adolescents, and adult trauma survivors.

Mayra has received training in trauma-informed modalities, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. Additionally, she is trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERP).

Mayra has worked at PCH in various capacities for over six years and, most recently, she is serving as an adjunct therapist and group therapist.
